CLSC eComm 11/11/2007
1) Free Yo-Yo lessons– 11/18, 12/02, 12/09 (3:50 - 4:45 PM) :
We will offer free beginner and intermediate Yo-Yo lessons to all interested CLSC students age 6 and above. You need to bring your own Yo-Yo for the lesson. If you don't have one, you can purchase it at school. The new Yo-Yo cost $15 a set, it has more durable design. Thanks to Joe Lee (李孟周) for purchasing them from Taiwan.
2) CLSC website has been moved to new hosting server,
thanks to CLSC former Trustee, Daniel Chen's (陳樹真) hard work. New CLSC web has been reorganized and updated by CLSC new webmaster, Feng Hsieh (那鳳儀). Thanks.
Halloween parade/ Fall Festival has been successfully done, thanks to Hope Mao Oehler and Leigh Hong (茅以璜, 黃麗鍾) for planning and many parents/volunteer's help. The pictures have been posted in CLSC website photo section. To print your favorite pictures, please use "Same-Day Pickup" option to print, pickup and pay at your local store.
3) Fund Raising Activities :
- Get ready for CLSC 2nd annual Holiday Shoppe and Flea market
12/02 2:00 – 4:30 Good quality Chinese gifts, gently used 2nd hand items ( Children's toys, clothes, ect...) and delicious food.
- Gift card for Holiday shopping :
We have various gift cards for department store, restaurants, book stores and online stores. We sale the $25 Gift card with $24. It is 4% saving for you, better than credit card rebate, and there is no expiration date. Please stock up for your holiday gift or shopping. No more gift card sale after December 2007. The gift card store include Amazon.com, Macy's, Kohl's, TJMax, LL Bean, Home Depot, RebLobaster, Oliver Garden, …. Please check school web site for complete listing.
- Phone card, Formosa Porksung, Chinese Dim-Sum : Stop by and turn in your order.
4) New CLSC Directory will be distributed this Sunday.
5) CLSC Community Outreach activities:
- 11/02/2007 Friday: Bianca Chang, Dr. Wen Pan, and Emily Lee ( 郭純岑, 潘文雄 , 張郁梅) went to Howard County Police Training center to give a talk of "Chinese Cultural and Custom" for Police Recruits Diversity Training .
- 11/03/2007: Emily Lee, Allen Chu, Chin-Chun Wu, and Tau Liu ( 張郁梅, 朱定中, 吳錦春, 劉韜) went to Hyatt Regency at Baltimore to set up an exhibit booth at the National Association for Multicultural Education national conference.
