- Chinese SAT Practice test on 03/30 for all students in 7th G and up classes.
- 03/30 is CLSC scholarship application due date.
1) CLSC Spring Youth tennis program will start on 03/30 to 05/04 for 6 weeks
Time : 3:50 – 5:20 PM. First day, bring your own tennis racquet and meet coach at CLSC front door. All students' parents have to sing the liability waiver form ( see attached form). For interested students who have not registered, please write a check of $30 to CLSC, with family ID and student's name. Please turn in the liability form and money to Mrs. Leigh Hong 黃麗鍾 at Cafeteria before the class.
2) CLSC Fund Raising Sale
Semi Annual Gift Card sale - From now to end of April. Your gift card purchase will bring average 5% profit to CLSC to use on our students. The 3 top sale classes will have ice cream party on 05/04.
Crispy cream donut and gift certificate sale - Fresh made crispy cream donuts will be on sale at CLSC this week.
3) 2008 DC Dragon boat race on May 17 & 18 at Thompson Boat Center, D.C.
Each participant will pay $40 to cover the cost of registration, training and lunch. We need to have at least 20 persons signup before April 07. If you are interested please sign up with CLSC captain Mr. Clement Liu 劉垂成 by email clementliu@aol.com.
4) 作家楊謹倫 (Gene Yang) 先生簽名會 Friday, March 28, 2008, 7:00 -9:00 PM in the Banneker Room at the George Howard Building.
Mark your calendar on Friday, March 28, 2008, 7:00 PM, author Gene Luen Yang will discuss his award-winning book, American Born Chinese in the Banneker Room at the George Howard Building. Howard County Government Ellicott City Campus 3410 to 3450 Court House Dr. We encourage all 13 and above youths and adults come to this meeting.
5) 3/28 China Acrobat and Music Troupe at JRT is canceled
Due to a visa problem, all scheduled performances in DC area by the China Acrobat and Music Troupe are canceled. The China Acrobat and Music Troupe and local organizers/coordinators deeply regret for this unforeseeable inconvenience. All sold tickets will be refunded. Please contact the person you obtained the tickets from directly to get you refund.

6) 2008 Association of Chinese School annual conference will be held in Marriot hotel in Gaithersburg on 05/24 and 05/25.

- If you are interested with the conference, please contact Academic Dean, Bianca Chang for details. If you are interested with student activities, you should sign up as early as possible.
- The conference is grouping total of 16 students to help serving in ACS Conference 08. They need to commit and be available on: 5/24 10:00 AM -17:00 PM and 5/25 08:30 AM - 15:00 PM. They will be grouped as: A helper in Ball Room, Session Classrooms, Student Activities, Academic Contests, and Front Desk Service,etc. They will receive: Free Dinner (5/24), Breakfast (5/25), plus one T-Shirt of ACS 08 and the certificate of community service. If you are interested, please contact Bianca Chang ASAP.
