1) AAHC Sprint Festival on April 4, 2008.
Our CLSC will have two performances scheduled at 5:45 pm at JHU/APL Kossiakoff Center. The event will start at 4:30 pm and ends at 7 pm. Please come and support our school. Many thanks to our performers and Leigh Hong as ambassadors to publicize Chinese culture. Representing CLSC, there are more events which they participated in the past few months. 2) CLSC Spring Youth tennis program will start on 03/30 to 05/04 for 6 weeks
Time : 3:50 – 5:20 PM. First day, bring your own tennis racquet and meet coach at CLSC front door. All students' parents have to sing the liability waiver form ( see attached form). For interested students who have not registered, please write a check of $30 to CLSC, with family ID and student's name. Please turn in the liability form and money to Mrs. Leigh Hong 黃麗鍾 at Cafeteria before the class.
3) CLSC Fund Raising Sale
Semi Annual Gift Card sale – Time is running out!! From now to end of April. Your purchase will bring average of 5% profit to our CLSC students. The top 3 sale classes will have an ice cream party on 05/04.
Crispy cream donut and gift certificate sale - Fresh made glazed crispy cream donuts certificate $3.50 each will be on sale at CLSC this week.
4) 2008 DC Dragon boat race on May 17 & 18 at Thompson Boat Center, D.C.
Recruitment for the annual dragon boat race is still ongoing. We need your support. Each participant will pay $40 to cover registration, training and lunch. Please contact the captain Mr. Clement Liu 劉垂成 by email clementliu@aol.com to signup before April 07. If you are interested please sign up with CLSC Mr. Clement Liu.
5) STARTALK program in Howard County
CLSC will be the main sponsor to run this program funded by Department of Defense. This program mainly focuses on middle school students will start on 6/30- 7/25. This program will take place at Burleigh Manor Middle School from 8:30 to 12:30 pm for 4 weeks. At the end of this program, students will have opportunities to apply what they learned during the classroom in a life experience for an optional 3-day residential camp. 6) Southwest Airlines Presents the Parade of the National Cherry Blossom Festival on SATURDAY, APRIL 12, 2008 at 10 AM

Spring is here!! You are invited to attend one of Washington's most exciting traditions - the Parade of the National Cherry Blossom Festival®. The Parade steps off at 10:00 AM and marches along historic Constitution Avenue between 7th and 17th Streets, NW. There are more activities on weekends happening at the Smithsonian Mall.
