05/11 last day of CLSC 2008 spring semester, we will have closing ceremony and General assembly meeting.
1) 2008 STARTALK Summer Language Program in Howard County at Burleigh Manor Middle School for non-Chinese Speaking Middle school Students. 06/30 – 07/25
The Washington Metropolitan Association of Chinese Schools (WMACS) received grants to sponsor a STARTALK program in Maryland and designated CLSC to initiate a program in Howard County focusing on middle school students. Thanks to CLSC Academic Dean, Bianca Chang 郭純岑, the program site manager, the preparation work has most been done. All the program and registration information have been posted on our school website. The teacher will be Teacher Iris Chao and another certified teacher. Please check school website for the flyer and forward to your friends to help recruiting the students. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.
2) CLSC Fund Raising Sale
- Semi Annual Gift Card sale – 4/27 is the last day of the sale competition, the 3 top sale classes will have ice cream party on 05/04.
- Krispy Kream donut and gift coupon sale - Fresh made Krispy Kream donuts will be on sale at CLSC this week.
- Formosa pork sung and sausage – Please pick up your order this Sunday.
- Chinese DimSum - Please turn in your order this Sunday, pick up next Sunday. Please check school website for new price.
3) 大華府區中文學校聯誼會
7/20 -7/26 at Frostburg State University, Frostburg, Maryland. Please register by APRIL 30th to get the lowest price!
This year's WMACS summer camp is different from previous years in that there are two CLSC alumni in the staff, including:
- Barry Huang (Class 2004) as one of the Head counselors
- Jonathan Liu (Class 2007) as one of the rookie counselors
