1)  Last day to pay tuition 09/21 without penalty
The total fee per family will be posted on wall with your family ID. Please make your check payable to CLSC, write your familyID in the check memo area. If you have the concern of the add/drop class or fee, you can check with CLSC register Kate Appel on site. After 09/21, you will be charged extra late fee of $25.

2)  CLSC Classroom rules:

• No one should touch teacher's desk, or take anything away from the class.
• All rooms should be restored to their original configuration.
• Do close the windows after the class, if you open them.
• Please make sure the wind do not blow anything off from the classroom.
• No food or drink in classroom.

Please do follow the rules or we will not be able to use Howard High any more.

3)  CLSC school Directory Cover pages drawing Contest, the collection deadline is 09/21/2008.
Please turn in to your teachers or at the school cafeteria. Theme: anything related to ox (cow ) - (by Chinese zodiac year). size: half page of regular A4(8x11) paper, use dark black pen only. Write your name at the back. Please see details at school website.

4)  Sign up for CLSC annual fall picnic on 09/28/2008 3:30 PM at Rockburn Branch Park.
It is a teachers-parents-students gathering picnic. Adult Club members are welcome to join us( please sing up at the cafeteria). CLSC will provide main dishes. All participating families should bring either drinks, side dishes, snacks, or deserts. We need total head count by 09/21. Please sign up with the room parent of your 1st Child class with how many people will come and what you will bring in and the quantity. The pavilion does not have enough tables and chairs for our whole school; CLSC will borrow tables, we need your help to bring in your own picnic chairs. Please see school website for map and driving direction. CLSC Student will have an early dismiss at 3:00 PM. Adult Club group can stay to 4:00 PM but need to responsible for the cleaning of the activity area.

5)  Fund Raising Sale - come see the order form at cafetria:
If you perform CLSC services, you can get $20 service fee refund. The following are the available services:

• Chinese Dim Sum sale – place order by 09/28, pick up on 10/05
• Formosa Beef Jerky & pork sausage – place order by 09/28, pick up 10/12.
• Gift card (Giant, AA, HMart, Lotte) – place order by 09/28, pick up 10/12.
• Phone card sale, Sweet Rice with Bamboo leaf sale

6)  慶祝中華民國97年雙十國慶文化訪問團，采風樂坊演出東方傳奇 , 搖滾國樂

One of the Double Tens celebrations is a music program performed by Chai Found Music Workshop. They will perform a program called "Eastern Legends" Place: Wooten High School , Rockville , Maryland Time: 7PM Saturday, September 20, 2008, Price: Student $5, Adult $10. 7)  The 4th Washington Metropolitan Confucius Memorial Ceremony

CLSC 6thG student Carissa Kwan 關雪穎 will participate in the memorial ceremony. 大華府第四屆祭孔大典釋奠典禮，紀念孔子第二五五八歲誕辰及慶祝教師節. 祭孔大典釋奠典禮主要儀式由中文學校三十六位學生表演六佾舞，另有禮生執禮；典禮中將準備素三牲﹝由發糕製成﹞，典禮後將發放智慧糕給學生與來賓享用。祭孔大典委員會將印製祭孔釋奠典禮節目冊，介紹祭典程序，說明禮儀等，使參禮師生與觀禮來賓都能體會尊師重道的精神；同時委員會也特別訂製教師節書籤分送參禮師生與觀禮來賓。
