5)  Meetings with the architects responsible for the Miller Branch Library expansion.
The meeting will be held on February 6 from 4-6 pm in the Miller Branch Meeting Room. We encourage your suggestions on the current building plans. We are SO excited about the new library building and think that once you see the plans, you will be as excited as we are!

6)  由中華民國僑務委員會舉辦的「 2009 年海外華裔青（少）年暑期研習營」，將於 2009 年 7 月 1 日起至 8 月 6 日止，分兩梯次辦理，活動自即日起接受報名，報名期限至 2 月 28 日止。

活動係結合華語文研習和文化參訪活動，其中研習課程將依學員華語文程度分班授課、小班教學，研習內容除華語文教學外，亦涵括書法、國畫、紙藝、扯鈴、童玩、中國功夫、民族舞蹈等民俗技藝課程。除課堂學習外，更帶領學員走出戶外，參訪大專院校，進行海內外青年交流聯誼；參觀文化社教景點，認識台灣人文歷史與自然生態；另安排寶島攬勝行程，參觀國內各項政經文教建設和寶島名勝古蹟。學員研習期滿，並由僑務委員會核發研習證書。

本年活動依學員年齡分兩營次進行，其中青少年暑期研習營於 7 月 1 日至 7 月 30 日辦理，招收年滿 16 歲至 18 足歲學員共 250 人；青年暑期研習營於 7 月 8 日至 8 月 6 日辦理，招收年滿 19 歲至 27 足歲學員共 200 人。凡年滿 16 歲至 27 足歲，目前居住於海外，身心健康、學行良好、有高度學習華語文及台灣多元文化意願，並能適應團體生活之華裔青 (少) 年均歡迎報名參加。
