CLSC 2007-2008 Fall General Assembly meeting minute:

1)  Facility fee increase dramatically at last couple years, we analyzed the Facility fee, and other possibilities.  Do we need to move to a new location? Or change time? We briefly discussed all possibilities with parents; we did not make any conclusion.
  • Year 2006-2007 -- High school/per day : Cafeteria ($100), Gym ($100), Classroom ($10 X18 ), Custodian ($150) = $530/day.
  • Year 2007/2008 - High school/per day : Cafeteria ($130), Gym ($130), Classroom ($10 X18 ), Custodian ($160) = $600/day.
  • Year 2007/2008 - Middle school/per day : Cafeteria ($90), Gym ($90 ), Class room ($10 X18 ), Custodian ($160) = $520/day.
過去幾年, 學校設備使用費激增, 理事董事會分析各項應變方法, 包括更改上課地點或改變上課時間.  會議中與家長討論多種可能, 但尚未做最後決定.
  • 2006-2007 年高中學校設備使用費用/每天
    餐廳 $100/ 體育館 $100/ 教室 ($10x18)/ 管理清潔費 $150 共 $530/天
  • 2007-2008年高中學校設備使用費用/每天
    餐廳 $130/ 體育館 $130/ 教室 ($10x18) / 管理清潔費 $160 共 $600/天
  • 2007-2008年中學校設備使用費
    餐廳 $90/ 體育館$ 90/ 教室 ($10x18) / 管理清潔費 160 共 $520/天
2)  CLSC Trustees and Treasure have worked together to apply for the Columbia Foundation Grant, the result is still unknown. We hope we can also get some company matching donation from our parents to relieve our deficit problem.

目前董事理事會已向 Columbia Foundation Grant, 申請經費贊助, 但結果尚未知曉 除此, 我們也希望有更多家長捐款贊助

3)  Review the financial statement of 2006-2007, 2007-2008 Actual and Budget (Excel sheet). Discuss the Tuition and activity fee raise. Start from Spring 2008, new fee are:
  1. Each CLSC family attending CLSC language or activity class will pay a non-refundable $20/semester family registration fee.
  2. All language class child tuition will up $20/semester, that is $150/semester for 1st child, $140/semester for 2nd child.
  3. Service fee : $20/semester for each language class family, the fee will be refunded through 1 CLSC service. For family only attending the Adult activity class, the service fee is waived.
  4. Adult activity new fee: Adult Basketball -> $60/semester, Tai-Chi and line dance -> $50/semester, ballroom dance -> $25/semester.

討論自 2008 年度起學費和服務費增加
  1. 每一家庭報名註冊與儀課程或課外活動都需繳交註冊費, 此費用為每學期一繳, 不退費.
  2. 上語言課程的家庭每學期學費將漲 $20, 第一個小孩 $150/每學期, 第二個 $140/每學期.
  3. 服務費:$20/每家庭, 而每完成一次服務將退還, 只參加課外活動的家庭不需繳此服務費.
4)  CLSC Service Work
  • cleaning, recess monitor (3 times ), coupon/gift exchange helper (3 times), speech contest judges ( sign up with Academic Dean) , book club mom, Formosa porksung sale (2 sales per semester, 2 services), fund raising desk (one helper per month)
  • All service work need to report to Facility Director ( TenFu Low) on time.
服務工作
-- 清潔教室, 下課時間看管(3次), 禮券/學生票券交換(3次), 演將比賽裁判(向教務主任登記), 讀書俱樂部媽媽, 賣肉鬆(每學期賣兩次, 兩次服務), 募款桌服務(每月一人), 所有服務工作請向劉天富準時報到

5)  Introduce new teachers, new Administration staffs
  • We have new teachers at Pre K1, PreK2, Grade 6 and Chinese Prep 1.
  • We have new Academic Dean- Bianca Chang; Treasure - Hsiao Mei Shyoon
  • the CLSC webmaster are Mrs. Feng Hsieh( website posting) , Daniel Chen ( online registration)

6)  We need helpers for the following works:
  • new BOD members- CLSC Secretary, CLSC PTA coordinators (membership)
  • CLSC AD editor, coordinator - ( Found it after the meeting)
  • Drawing contest coordinator ( Found it after the meeting)
  • Moon cake order
  • Formorsa proksung coordinator ( Found it after the meeting)
